Goodwill BridgePointe Services opened its doors in New Albany 78 years ago. It was the beginning of tremendous hope for people with disabilities, because we have and always will stand for creating change for the better in people's lives. In our first 78 years we relied primarily on the support of individuals. Through their sheer numbers, the donated goods and cash contributions from generous people like you, have kept us going. But in the coming years we see the importance, in fact the necessity, of calling on not just individuals but businesses throughout the community to help us meet the growing needs of our community. The fact is, Goodwill BridgePointe Services is the ONLY provider specializing in serving a broad range of rehabilitation needs of children in Southern Indiana who face major physical challenges. Because funding is not keeping pace with the rising costs of caring for these children, it is imperative that we secure adequate funding to continue these essential services.

As we continue into the future, we see daily how Goodwill BridgePointe Services has proven to be a unique organization that has truly made a difference in our community. Last year, we provided services to 1,140 people with disabilities and served 500 adults through our Career Services Division. For children, we created a safe learning environment for 120 youngsters ages 6 weeks to 5 years in our Childcare Program, and perhaps more impressive, through our Pediatric Family support, we treated 277 children with with disabilities, including autism.

In the future, we at Goodwill BridgePointe Services want to insure our ability to improve the lives of disabled children and their families, and at the same time reach out to all age individuals with disabilities to help them create a more abundant life.
